Thank you for your willingness to contribute! Consult the project's  
documentation for information on how to install on Mac OS X, or if no  
OS X-specific instructions exist, follow instructions for installing  
on UNIX or *BSD.

Once you figured out how to do that, you can make a portfile. Look at  
the existing portfiles and read the new guide which is still in the  
process of being written:
