Most ports should build with Apple's GCC 4.0.1. Some ports declare
dependencies on specific other versions of GCC, such as MacPorts' GCC
4.2.x, and those ports should build with that version of GCC.
MacPorts will not install anything called "gcc" to override your
system's GCC.
