I'm not sure what you have done with your computer (reading your other
messages). I think the safest way would be to completely reinstall your OS X
and then do a fresh start.
And then use macports from the beginning, as it's the only way I know (next to
other port managers like fink) which ensures you can remove the installed
applications.
