Error messages with Freetype and XFree86

I'm not sure why this happens. What version of Mac OS X, Xcode and  
MacPorts do you have, and what kind of Mac is this happening on?  
Based on the existence of "-D__i386__" in your output I assume you're  
on an Intel Mac?
