gnumeric build troubles

Hello all,

Can someone help.  I am trying to install gnumeric 1.8.0 and I keep  
getting various error messages.  Here is the last one I got.

Configuring p5-xml-parser

I have a MacBook Pro using the most recent version of Leopard and I am  
also using Porticus as a GUI for MacPorts if that matters.
