hi :-)

when i did
port upgrade outdated
i got

# As MacPorts does not currently have a post-deactivate hook,
# you will need to ensure that you manually remove the catalog
# entry for this port when you uninstall it. To do so, run

# "xmlcatmgr remove nextCatalog /Users/thomas/Documents/prgm/bin/
autoinstall/macports/share/xml/docbook/4.1.2/catalog.xml".
# "xmlcatmgr remove nextCatalog /Users/thomas/Documents/prgm/bin/
autoinstall/macports/share/xsl/docbook-xsl/catalog.xml".
# "xmlcatmgr remove nextCatalog /Users/thomas/Documents/prgm/bin/
autoinstall/macports/share/xml/docbook/4.2/catalog.xml".
# "xmlcatmgr remove nextCatalog /Users/thomas/Documents/prgm/bin/
autoinstall/macports/share/xml/docbook/4.3/catalog.xml".
# "xmlcatmgr remove nextCatalog /Users/thomas/Documents/prgm/bin/
autoinstall/macports/share/xml/docbook/4.4/catalog.xml".
# "xmlcatmgr remove nextCatalog /Users/thomas/Documents/prgm/bin/
autoinstall/macports/share/xml/docbook/4.5/catalog.xml".

what does that mean exactly ?

is it because someone had not the time to code the complete uninstall
process and i needn't remember it if i don't want to uninstall it now,
or can't it be automated because of a technical pb and i should
remember it ?
