installing gimp2 fails with mp4v2 on 10.4.11

As for any bug in any port, you would file a ticket in the issue  
tracker. In this case, one has already been filed:

http://trac.macports.org/ticket/21007

There is a patch attached to the ticket that allegedly fixes the  
problem.
