Open Al: No universal variant in the port tree

(I sent this to macports-dev by mistake.)

"openal" does not have a +universal option defined.

Manually adding the line
PortGroup               muniversal 1.0
to the port file did NOT suffice -- this is the output

sudo port install openal +universal

OpenAl is listed as having no maintainer. Can someone help with this?
