Can't import GDAL into Python (2.5 or 2.6)

JP,

you will find in attachement a new version of the Portfile and a new patch file that should work.

If your installation is standard, the portfile goes in:

/opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/ports/gis/gdal

and the patch file in:

/opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/ports/gis/gdal/files

Try them (don't forget to save the old version if something would go wrong). Normally, it should work. Please use only one +python option, either 25 or 26 because they are mutually exclusive. I've added, by the way, a new spatialite option to link against it, but there is a bug in spatialite that prevents it from working, so forget it right now.

If it work, I'll open a bug report and suggest the new files to upgrade to 1.7.2 and fix the bug.

Cheers!
Vincent
