Hi,
I submitted a ticket about this (Ticket #26226).
After performing "port selfupdate" and then "port upgrade outdated"
poppler was updated.
When trying to use pdflatex I get the following error:
dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libpoppler.6.dylib
Referenced from: /opt/local/bin/pdflatex
Reason: image not found
Checking my libraries (ls /opt/local/lib | grep poppler...d) I see:
libpoppler.7.dylib
Performing selfupdate further only shows that I'm up to date ...
Supposedly someone did something in Changeset r70558 to fix this, but
I'm not getting fixed by updating. And, there is no documentation
about what changesets are (I imagine they are simply changes in a
revision) nor about how I could apply them besides using selfupdate
...
My only thought is that when I updated poppler that I needed to use
the "-R" flag to force an update to texlive ...
This is seriously annoying. And I feel that the person who closed my
ticket was slightly rude in that they told me the fix was to run
selfupdate whereas I had specifically said that didn't fix the problem
(did they even read what I wrote?)!
I'm literally ReadingTFM and not getting any help ... this sucks!
