firefox-x11 xulrunner not-bug help?

Hi.  Attempting
$ sudo port install firefox-x11
on my Intel/OS X 10.6 Mac, I get
--->  Computing dependencies for firefox-x11
Error: Cannot install xulrunner for the arch(s) 'i386' because
Error: its dependency nss does not build for the required arch(s) by default
Error: and does not have a universal variant.
Error: Unable to execute port: architecture mismatch

A message by jeremyhu on ticket #25855 says

    * *status*changed from/new/to/closed/
    * *resolution*set to/invalid/

+internal_dependencies forxulrunner+universal for others

Please ask for help on the mailing list as this is not a bug
