Attempting to fetch texlive_texmf-full-2007g0.tar.gz fails

hello,
i am trying to build texlive but it just gets stuck:

$ sudo port install texlive

i have downloaded the source from
http://distfiles.macports.org/texlive_texmf-full/texlive_texmf-full-2007g0.tar.gz

how do i proceed?

also i would like to know how to change the source path so that it
fetches the file i specify from the command line.
