Thanks for the tip. I get a much longer error report, but the error is still
the same: the PHP version can't be found. Should I file a ticket?

I previously ran 
port clean php5-oracle
but it didn't help.
 
I also tried
sudo port uninstall php5-oracle
then 
sudo port install php5-oracle
and got the same error message.
 
I couldn't find any tickets on this issue. Should I file one?
