I do spend a lot of time reading the list so often I'm the first to get to a particular inquiry. Other times perhaps nobody else knows the answer.

...ok. So now, Apache isn't running. And presumably if you try to start it, it doesn't? Anything in the Apache log about this now?

And MySQL says it's already running. Is it? (Check with "ps" or Activity Monitor.) If so, stop it, by killing it or whatever method is usual for MySQL. Then try starting it again. Does it? If it doesn't, the MySQL log might have more interesting information for you as well.
