zlib woes

I am not sure what other changes zlib 1.2.4 introduces, but couldn't we
please just go back to 1.2.3 in the ports tree for now until we have a
real fix?

This seems to affect a lot of ports and causes many build failures. It's
not important for users trying to upgrade as they still have an older
version to use, but especially harmful for users trying to set up a new
system.
