Registering ghc to ports?

Hello all,

I am trying to install gtk2hs, which has a dependency on ghc. The ghc
version provided by ports is older than the version I have on my machine
though, I have 6.12, ports has 6.10.4.
When I try to install gtk2hs via ports, it tries to fetch the older version
of ghc, and I don't want this. Is there a way to somehow "register" my own
ghc installation so that ports uses it instead.
