sudo port -v install kdelibs4 - build error

hello,
i am trying to build kdevelop4, but had this error:

--->  Installing giflib @4.1.6_1
--->  Activating giflib @4.1.6_1
Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error:
/opt/local/bin/gif2epsn is being used by the active libungif port.
Please deactivate this port first, or use 'port -f activate giflib' to
force the activation.

if forcing the activation of giflib would this cause problems?
