OK, I feel stupid now. Trying to build slrn on another machine and I  
can't get it to build uudeview and I can't remember how I installed it  
on the other machine. Though I'd put the compile command in this email.

# port variants slrn
slrn has the variants:
    pull
    ssl
    universal: Build for multiple architectures

port selfupdate has been run, running the current version of MacPorts  
(not the beta, 1.8.2))

uudeview is installed, but when I try to build slrn with port -d  
install slrn I get:

checking for the uu library and header files uudeview.h... no
