Hi Ryan,

   I managed to get wxWidgets installed.  That's the good news, the bad news
is that there are still issues with installing couchdb...

This is weird, but when I downloaded the code for couchdb and installed it,
everything compiled without a problem.  Am I doing something wrong when
using macports?
