Thanks for the note. It is good to know that I am not the only one!
You might take a look at this inkscape bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/629363
If your crash occurs in the same way as described there, it might help
for you to report on the ticket that you are also affected by the bug.
