The gnustep ports have no maintainer, and haven't for as long as I can remember, so it would not surprise me if they don't work anymore on current versions of Mac OS X. Like the 3000 other ports in the MacPorts collection that don't have a maintainer, these ports could use one, to bring them up to date. Someone who is interested in these ports and has the time, interest and ability to make them work again should volunteer.
