that's odd.

you can probably do the same with iconv that you did with db46 (uninstall, clean, reinstall) and then clean/upgrade apr-util again.

Did you by any chance migrate your macports installation from an older machine to your current one? If so, you really need to follow the migration instructions (https://trac.macports.org/wiki/Migration)
