Thank you for your answer (below).  I am glad that it is possible to resolve the situation, but would appreciate a little more detail about how exactly to do it.  Specifically, can you tell me:

1. How do I 'switch back to portdbformat'?

2. How do I identify the ports that are causing the problem?

3. To uninstall one of them, do I use sudo port uninstall [badport]?  Will port uninstall work, given that port outdated doesn't?  If not, how should I uninstall 'manually', if that is indeed what I should do?

Your receipts contain inconsistent information. Specifically, two active
ports claim to have installed the same file. There isn't really any way to
resolve this automatically.

You probably need to switch back to portdbformat flat, uninstall one of
the ports in question, then try converting to sqlite again. Ask on the
mailing list if you need more help.
