gstreamer crash: GLib-ERROR in gmem.c

Hello,

I wonder if anyone has experienced the following problem: I built 
gstreamer and all the plugin packages (base, good, bad, ugly) on OSX 
Snow Leopard 10.6.8, using 10.6 as the deployment target and i386 as the 
cpu architecture. The compilation goes without problem, but when I run 
gst-inspect, I get the following:

GLib-ERROR **: gmem.c:405: overflow allocating 1685217637*4 bytes
aborting...
Abort trap

This problem seems to dissapear when I use 10.5 as the deployment target.
