Not all ports specify all dependencies correctly, especially on some of the small but important utilities like grep, sed, awk. So just relying on MacPorts to rebuild everything in the right order may not work, and in that case you can either fiddle with it and try to rebuild things manually yourself until it works, or you can follow the migration instructions.
