GCC44 Build Time

A long time.

No.  It does parallel builds by default (which is why the fans are so
fast/loud -- it's putting your computer under heavy load).

{sudo} port -v install pygtk2

(notice the -v, AND its location).  This is described in the manpage, I
think.
