error installing PDL 2.4.6

All of that basically means "an error occurred earlier", and that earlier error was not in the portion of the log you showed.

The above means "an error occurred when building the port" and the log must be examined to determine what the error was.

Then please also file a second ticket requesting the port be updated to the current version.
