Can't install - 'Xcode is not installed..'

Can't MacPorts be more precise and write this in the error message?
" Xcode is not installed. If you bought it on the AppStore, you only downloaded it. Start "Install Xcode.app" in your applications folder."
I know it feels like holding users by the hand but sometimes that better ;)
