Ok. Then I guess you want:

sudo port install gimp-gap

No idea if gimp-gap, or gimp itself, works on Tiger anymore. Tiger is very old and becoming less well supported in MacPorts all the time.

Your Mac can be upgraded to Snow Leopard, and I would highly recommend considering doing that. You'll have less trouble getting new software.
