Issues installing octave on osx 10.6.8

Hello,

I'm trying to install octave and I've ran into an error:
I've scrolled down in the log and the problem is here:

Any hints how I can get past this issue?
I don't remember installing libfltk. Maybe it's left over from other
installs.
Is it safe to remove and attempt another install ? Can I find out if it's
used by anything else ?
