Question about Xcode 4.2.1 on Lion

Ok so I got past git-core, but now no version of GCC will install. I have
tried gcc43, gcc44, gcc45, and finally, skipping gcc46, I tried gcc47. All
of them fail to build with the same errors:

FYI…to answer a previous request. I upgraded to Lion when 10.7.3 came out,
then upgraded Xcode to 4.2.1 from 3.2.6, and then opted to clear MacPorts
completely, installed the "for Lion" version of MP 2.0.3, and then began
trying to reinstall everything. Which is where I keep hitting these errors.

Seriously…is there a way I can just go back to Xcode3 and still be on Lion?
I can't figure out why upgrading and starting over with MP from scratch
would suddenly cause me all these problems.
