port clean all stops at py25-mayavi and displays the message

Error: Unable to open port: Port remote fetch failed: You do not have permission to write to /opt/local/var/macports/portdirs

port clean py25-mayavi does the same thing. py2{6,7}-mayavi do not have this problem.
