Not usefully; MacPorts exists to port Linux stuff to OS X, and typically
includes OS X-specific patches.

Perhaps you would prefer a rolling release Linux distribution such as
Gentoo or Arch Linux instead of Ubuntu. (I don't know if there are any
apt-based rolling release distributions, but it wouldn't surprised me
greatly. Also note that Gentoo's Portage is a lot like MacPorts; both are
derived in concept from *BSD's ports system, although they take the concept
in somewhat different directions.
