Temporary port deactivation

Good morning cyberfriends :)

My tree has a faulty port which prevents upgrading and rebuilding some  
others (there is 3 broken files and 3 broken ports).

Meanwhile our great maintainers not fix the faulty port, in order to  
keep upgrading and rebuilding, I suppose that to deactivate the faulty  
one will not cause damage.

Am I right?
