If you're saying that you're running "sudo port upgrade outdated", and it's failing at FileZilla, and there are other outdated ports that you would like to rebuild that have nothing to do with FileZilla, then you don't need to deactivate FileZilla to do that; you can just run "port outdated" to see the list of outdated ports, and then upgrade individual ports explicitly by name, i.e. "sudo port upgrade glib2" or whatever.
