cmus not detecting m4a files

Hi folks,

I have some m4a files in my iTunes library and cmus doesn't detect these.
I installed faad2 and mp4v2 and it hasn't made any difference (cmus was
installed before these).

Just wondering if anyone can help?  Unfortunately I can't give more
information in the way of error messages as there doesn't seem to be any.
All my ports are up to date.
