gimp 2.8 & EPS export

This is weird because just a few days ago I was able to import an EPS file, but now I can not.  In the meantime I did a "port update outdated".  That will teach me!

To answer my own question, it seems like this problem may be coming from upstream.  See https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=689657.  Selecting Help->Procedure Browser, I get no entry for "file-ps-load".
