python27 clang 4.1 versus native clang

Update to the latest version of Xcode for your version of OS X. If you're in OS X 10.7 Lion, that's Xcode 4.6.3. For OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, it's Xcode 5.

Then open Xcode.app, go to Preferences, to Downloads, and install the command line tools.
