The install_db worked, but when I try to start the database, I get:
jarmac-2:local jar$ cd /opt/local
jarmac-2:local jar$ sudo /opt/local/lib/mariadb/bin/mysqld_safe
--datadir='/opt/local/var/db/mariadb'
140808 19:12:55 mysqld_safe unknown option
'--err-log=/Users/jar/mysql/data/mysqld.log'
140808 19:12:55 mysqld_safe Logging to
'/opt/local/var/db/mariadb/jarmac-2.local.err'.
140808 19:12:55 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from
/opt/local/var/db/mariadb
140808 19:12:55 mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file
/Users/jar/mysql/data/mysqld.pid ended
And I do not think the database has started.
