MacPorts fail to "upgrade outdated" after reinstalling Mac OS X

Wed Aug 24 18:55:08 PDT 2016

Hello there,

after a crash due to battery exhausting, I had to make a "warm" reinstall of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, i.e. reinstall the OS without formatting the HDD. I made sure XCode was up to date, and currently have 3.2.6. Installed ports are still installed.

Thankfully it now works and nothing's missing, but I got one issue with "port upgrade outdated" command: it outputs
Unable to open port: can't read "build.cmd": Failed to locate 'make' in path: '/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin' or at its MacPorts configuration time location, did you move it?

What could be missing after such a reinstall?
