Oh dear - this step is not quite right - I'm very sorry about that. There could be (and probably are) other things in your /opt folder that you don't want to move.

If you did that, please move it back ( sudo mv /opt-junked /opt ) and do the following.

I should have said

sudo mv /opt/local /opt/local-junked

as the macports directory is /opt/local and there should be nothing else inside that directory beyond macports
