Creating the macports user

I copied macports files from a hard drive onto a new mac. It’s been a while but I think I just copied /opt/local.

 I can install new ports but it complains that there is no macuser. If I should just create the user, can you tell me what attributes/properties (or whatever the term is) the macports user should have?
