I didn't consider this a direct replacement but feel free
to port it if you like and will maintain it.  Note that it requires an outdated
version of Java (1.3.1 or 1.50 depending on which site you
read).  Current Java for Macintosh is Java 8 update 111 and
is recommended for security reasons.
