The same way you subscribed, only in reverse :-)

Seriously, every email sent out contains this in the headers (like a
good mailing list should):

  List-Unsubscribe: <https://lists.macports.org/mailman/options/macports-users>,
   <mailto:macports-users-request at lists.macports.org?subject=unsubscribe>

Is not your mail client reminding you of the presence of this header?  If 
not then you should find a better one.
