Looks pretty reasonable. You could perhaps use sys.prefix if no prefix
has been specified? Also, I'm not sure why you're adding a new
'dest-dir=' option rather than reusing the 'root=' option from the
standard distutils.command.install class.
Probably because I didn't understand the role of the root= option.
