Problem with "port -u uninstall"

Forgive me if I've raised this before (my 66-yo memory is not the best), 
but...

     Note: It is not recommended to uninstall/deactivate a port that has dependents as it breaks the dependents.
     The following ports will break: gimp2 @2.10.8_3
     Continue? [y/N]:

Well, I chose discretion over valour (for once), and skipped it; it 
continued OK.

(And yes, I have another thread to which to respond, but I've been sick 
lately; a torn Achilles tendon, if you must know.)
