installing openscad

Do I need to uninstall the newer versions of bison? or will the build of openscad automatically use the older one once that has been installed?

I note that other ports I’ve installed, namely, gstreamer1, kdelibs4, p5.28-config-autoconfig, and webkit2-gtk all depend on bision. So will they break if I need to uninstall the newer bison?
