Many people end up finding that there was a problem with one of the libraries that the module depends on. MacPorts rev-upgrade should identify such problems and rebuild any broken ports. If you've disabled the automatic use of rev-upgrade, try running it manually now with "sudo port rev-upgrade". Maybe it will find that ImageMagick or one of its dependencies needs to be rebuilt and then it might work.
