git sync

I've been building mythtv from John Hoyt's script (it uses macports extensively).
I have made a successful build but there we minor isssues

on redoing I forgot to sync with git, with rsync update the build failed with a missing file. I followed

uninstalled all ports
$ sudo port -fp uninstall installed

and ...

Can anybody guide me please
