Does the migration procedure keep ports versions?

it does not. MacPorts only supports installing the latest version that's
currently available in the ports tree. There is no official support to
install older versions.

If you need a specific old version, you must follow
https://trac.macports.org/wiki/howto/InstallingOlderPort.
